The world is my lobster

Now that I have started crawling, and am on the road to walking, nothing is out of my reach!
I’ve just had a 2 week ‘holiday’ in Pintung(屛東) - from the 2nd to the 18th April. On the 2nd, Mummy and Daddy took me down to see 阿公. The weekend of the 2nd was Tombcleaning weekend (掃墓); I wasn’t allowed to go, as taking a young baby to a tomb is considered bad luck - given that it chucked it down all day, that’s a tradition I approve of.
Daddy went back to work for the week, but Mummy and I stayed in Pintung enjoying the tropical weather (actually, because I was suffering my first ever cold, neither of us enjoyed it that much!). Daddy came down again the next weekend, and then the following weekend was my uncle’s (梁智豪) wedding. I spent about half the banquet asleep, and the other half being passed around various friends and relations.
Anyway, the major thing I learnt to do in Pintung was to crawl - I’m still exploring possible techniques, but I can now happily explore my surroundings which provides all sorts of excitement: nothing (near the ground) is out of my reach now. I’m also experimenting with standing; I’m quite keen to stand with a bit of assistance from a suitable parent (balance is still a bit of a problem). I’ve heard great things about this walking thing, so I’m looking forward to trying it out.

One development that Mummy wasn’t too pleased about is that I seem to have inherited Daddy’s ability to look gormless when having a picture taken …
