Taiwanese passport

Passport photoWe’re just about to apply for my Taiwanese passport, so I went to the local photo shop to get a suitable photo.

So, my photo for this passport will look quite different to my photo for my U.K. passport, as that was taken when I was only 1 month old.

Of course, my Taiwanese passport has my Chinese name: 游允斌. It also has it’s English translation, and an ‘also known as’ field for my English name. However, the English translation of 游允斌 has to be in Wade-Giles (instead of Pinyin which is what the rest of the world uses) which results in: ‘Yu Yun Pin’, which sounds nothing like my name when pronounced in English. Ho Hum!
